El desviador trasero XTR M9000 Shadow Plus es el siguiente paso en lo que a un cambio de velocidad con mayor precisión se refiere. El mecanismo Shadow Plus ha sido desarrollado, de tal manera que ahora es posible ajustar la tensión del sistema desde el exterior con una llave Allen. De esta manera puedes escoger entre una máxima tensión de la cadena o un clic más suave de la maneta de cambios. Además el perfil Shadow ha sido desarrollado de manera detallada, este es más bajo, de modo que el desviador está ubicado lo más cerca posible al cuadro, lo que disminuye el riesgo a daños.

To loosen and tighten the bolt that attaches the gear cable to the derailleur, you will need a 5 mm Allen key. These can be found here.
Disassembling the chain
Before you can remove the derailleur, you must remove the chain. How to do this you can read here. For this you need a chain rivet tool, which you can find here. Make sure you get the right brand and number of speed.
Use assembly paste to mount
When you mount your new rear derailleur, you should put some assembly paste on the threads of the derailleur pad. You can buy this from here.
Mounting derailleur pulleys
To fit derailleur pulleys you need a 2.5 mm or 3 mm Allen key. A handy Allen key can be found here.
A common problem is a warped derailleur hanger. This can be caused by the derailleur coming into contact with something hard, for example during a fall. Fortunately, this can be repaired! Find out more here.
Make sure you clean your derailleur pulleys too!
Like the chain, derailleur pulleys get very dirty. This makes for a less enjoyable ride and doesn't help with the durability of your drivetrain. Therefore, when cleaning the chain and / or oiling the chain, it is advisable to also clean the derailleur pulleys. Do this by gently turning the chain while you run a cloth along the derailleur wheel. However, at some point the derailleur wheels will be worn out.
